Welcome

I am honoured to introduce myself as the Headteacher of Oak Wood Primary School, a thriving school which is a proud member of the Central England Academy Trust (CEAT).

We are ambitious for all of our learners, passionate about removing any barriers to their learning, and make it our upmost priority that they feel safe. I am devoted in my pursuit to provide the highest quality education, bespoke to pupils’ individual needs, in an environment where they are nurtured to develop and grow and reach their full potential.

The opening paragraph of our most recent Ofsted report states that: “Oak Wood Primary School is a caring, kind and friendly school. Pupils needs are at the heart of everything that happens. Pupils receive quality care from all staff who treat them with dignity and respect. The relationships between staff and pupils are highly positive and pupils communicate that they are happy in school”. I aim to continue the great work of the school and work closely with all stakeholders to ensure its continued success for the benefit of all pupils.

I am passionate about improving young people’s lives and recognise the importance of school working closely with parents/carers as well as the local community to ensure a consistent and collaborative approach.

“Very pleased with my child’s progress and very proud of how he has come on. It is sad that he’s saying goodbye to primary, I feel like they’re friends, not teachers.”
